Fields 1 & 2 used Western Traps; 3, 4 & 5 were equipped with Western-McCrea traps and White Flyer targets were used. I believe the ATA used traps of close design to yours at the 1940 Grand. They were called the Western White Flyer Self Angling. 22 traps threw 731,225 White Flyer targets. The next part of the serial number is eight numeric digits. The first four numbers should be a two digit month followed by a two digit year. The last four digits are the serialization digits 0000 to 9999 depending on what number the frame was of the years production. If the frame was made overseas in Taiwan, it gets more complicated. 1939 Airflyte Serial Number.
