Nvivo 12 For Mac Manual
- This is a simple overview of how to perform thematic / content analysis using the new (2019) NVivo 12 software.
- Click the NVivo icon in the dock or double-click the NVivo icon in the Applications folder in the Finder. Accept the license agreement, if prompted. When prompted, enter your license key (or click 30 day trial), and then click Next. You can find the license key on the NVivo for Mac.
- A quick guide or refresher on how to use NVivo. Demonstrated on NVivo 12 in Windows but could be quite useful for users of NVivo 11, 10 and 9 when you move o.
(On the Mac, there is only one native NVivo version, which requires that a machine be at a certain contemporary OS X 10.7.5 Lion and later, including Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite, etc. NVivo 10 / 11 for Mac is not supported on an iOS device or the iPhone or iPad.).

Resolved: The cursor wasn't visible when a user entered edit mode for an image or media file.
Resolved: File encoding options are now offered directly to users when importing attribute values.
Resolved: When an attribute value is added to a concept map it is now grayed out to indicate it cannot be selected again.

Improved: Accessibility improvements related to contrast.
Improved: You can now paste items like documents and pictures to a set via the right-click context menu.
Improved: When saving an edit to a transcript row, the cursor now scrolls to the top of the row being edited.
Resolved: Some media files exported from NVivo and then imported were blank.
Resolved: Accessing the Text Search Query from a word cloud via a left click or double click could produce different results.
Resolved: If you delete a media file with a transcript imported from NVivo Transcription, you can now undo the delete action.
Resolved: Dates now display correctly for NCapture files when the NVivo UI is set to a language other than English.

Added: You can copy or move the results of a Matrix Coding query into the Nodes folder — this creates a hierarchical node structure based on the cells within the matrix.
